Masters Rowing

We have a large group of active Masters Rowers (age 27+) at Cambridge Rowing Club. It doesn't matter if you are new to the sport and just want to row socially, or if you've still got that competitive spirit and want to race at regattas across the country, we're the club for you.

Regattas for Masters are held on our home water at Lake Karapiro, and we venture further afield to Rotorua, Mercer and Auckland for more racing opportunities. The National Masters Champs alternate between Karapiro and Lake Ruataniwha, near Twizel.

There is no defined season for Masters, with regattas happening almost year round. Nationals are usually in September, with the Legion of Rowers regatta (unofficially the North Island Champs) being held in April each year. Over the summer, many club regattas also include Masters events, while winter sees us racing at dedicated Masters regattas and in the Waikato Long Distance Race series.
